LL10--I've Got 15 Minutes: Show Me a Brief Clinical Intervention

The session will focus on brief clinic interventions. When patients come to the clinic for specialized care, care teams focus on both physical and mental health and view the patient as a whole person. Treatment plans are created with input from the patients and the multi-disciplinary providers. In this session, we will hear from a physical therapist, a child life specialist, a mental health provider, and a sleep specialist. The presenters will discuss brief clinical interventions that contribute to the patient's overall well-being and support treatment planning.

Learning Objectives:

  • Summarize brief interventions and techniques from varying disciplinary lenses.
  • Identify similarities and differences between multi-disciplinary providers in an effort to improve collaboration and team communications.
  • Discuss to increase knowledge and awareness of specialized clinic interventions.
