University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center
Chelsea Rogen PT, DPT is a Senior Physical Therapist at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. Chelsea received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Syracuse University and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015 from New York Institute of Technology. Chelsea worked in inpatient rehab in NYC prior to her current role, where she splits her time between inpatient cystic fibrosis and the Intensive Care Unit. She has worked with adult patients with cystic fibrosis since 2018, and serves as the physical therapy team lead overseeing all inpatient care. Chelsea is also actively involved in the outpatient clinic as a member of the multidisciplinary CF clinic team, which has been made possible as part of an award from the CFF to support the role of the PT in the clinic. Chelsea is passionate about helping her patients take a more active role in their healthcare by incorporating personalized exercise and PT regimens that they will find to be both beneficial and enjoyable. By empowering her patients to make exercise an essential part of their daily and weekly care routine, she has helped many individuals with cystic fibrosis establish and maintain home programs that build off initial evaluations and acute interventions during their hospital stays. Chelsea is currently working on an IRB approved research project examining a comprehensive data analysis of using sit to stand tests as a standard outcome measure to examine improvements in adults with cystic fibrosis who participate in a structured physical therapy program during hospitalization. She is also working on collecting data on exercise testing during patient visits in the outpatient clinic, along with post intervention surveys to better serve the pediatric and adult patient population during their clinic appointments.
