Gabriela Rodrigues has been practicing as a speech pathologist for 10 years, with the majority of her career spent at New York Presbyterian-Columbia. Her areas of interest and expertise include dysphagia in the critically ill, including end stage lung disease, post lung transplant and trach/vent populations. She also specializes in dysphagia in head in neck cancer and voice restoration after total laryngectomy. She previously led an initiative at Columbia to ensure that all lung transplant patients underwent an instrumental swallow assessment post operatively given the increased risk of dysphagia in this population.
