Dr. Hanna Phan is Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy, College of Pharmacy and Faculty Affiliate for the Susan B. Meister Child Health Evaluation and Research (CHEAR) Center at the University of Michigan. Dr. Phan practices as a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine with a focus in cystic fibrosis, at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, Michigan Medicine. Prior to her return to Michigan in 2020, she served as faculty at the University of Arizona Colleges of Pharmacy and Medicine as well as Associate Research Scientist for the UA Asthma and Airway Disease Research Center for over 10 years. Dr. Phan received her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of Michigan and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Pediatric Pharmacotherapy at The Ohio State University. She has been recognized for her contributions to clinical practice, service, and research from various national professional organizations, including previously served as President of the Pediatric Pharmacy Association, designated as a Fellow for each, American College of Clinical Pharmacy and the Pediatric Pharmacy Association, and currently serving as Board Regent for the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. Dr. Phan’s current research interests include patient-caregiver medication education and self-management, medication use in schools, and interprofessional care of children with chronic conditions such as cystic fibrosis and asthma.
