Clinical care guidelines in cystic fibrosis (CF) are essentially the blueprints to build better patient outcomes. CF causes changes in the electrolyte transport system, therefore affecting many organs within the body. Such variation in clinical presentation requires a multi-faceted approach to management and treatment. Session discussions will include select abstracts and speakers for a focus on recently released guidelines in CF hepatobiliary involvement (CFHBI), cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator-related metabolic syndrome (CRMS) and cystic fibrosis screen-positive, inconclusive diagnosis (CFSPID).

Learning Objectives:

  • Evaluate the newly released cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator-related metabolic syndrome (CRMS) and cystic fibrosis screen-positive, inconclusive diagnosis (CFSPID) guidelines.
  • Assess the updated liver guidelines for cystic fibrosis hepatobiliary involvement (CFHBI) management in the pediatric CF population.
  • Examine the 2023 liver guidelines for the care of CF hepatobiliary involvement in adults with CF.
