Modulator treatment has revolutionized the care for people with cystic fibrosis improving their lifestyle and lifespan. However, the effects on infection, inflammation, and host response are not fully comprehended. This workshop will bring together I) Aspects of infection dynamics to understand the influence of modulators on the microbiome and implications for antimicrobial therapy. II) Define the effects of modulator treatment on inflammatory markers from the host and how they impact lung progression. III) Discuss real-world experiences with modulator treatment and how they translate to improve quality of life and survival.
