This session is designed for advanced practice providers, including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and clinical pharmacists who are involved in the care of both pediatric and adult CF patients. Whether you're new to CF management or seeking to enhance your expertise in CF medication therapy, this session will offer valuable insight and practical strategies to optimize patient care. We will explore key aspects of CF care, including mental health treatment, weight loss management and medications, and post-transplant medication management for those on highly effective modulators (HEMT). We will hear from expert pharmacists, review case studies, and have Q&A sessions at the end of each topic presentation. You will also have an opportunity to network with other APPs and experts in CF care to share insights and experiences.

Learning Objectives:

  • Review medications used for mental health treatment in both pediatric and adult patients with CF including interactions and monitoring recommendations
  • Discuss the use of weight loss medications in adult and pediatric patients with CF including side effects and interactions with CF medications
  • Describe best practices for management of post-transplant medications in adult and pediatric CF patients on highly effective modulator therapy (HEMT)
