This Nursing Care Giver Discipline Specific Group Session will provide valuable information to both new and experienced nurses as we discuss many of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation offerings. We will highlight the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) Program Coordinator Mentoring Program. We will describe each role and how you can become involved. With the evolving landscape of the needs of patients living with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) we will reintroduce to you the many CFF Community and Support Connection programs. CF Peer Mentoring will be featured with testimonials from patients living with CF and how you can support your patients. The CFF Education Committee will highlight new materials that are trending , how to steal shamelessly, and how these resources will contribute to and benefit Cystic Fibrosis Centers around the country.

Learning Objectives:

  • Mentoring - Describe the importance of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Program Coordinator Mentoring Program and how to get involved.
  • CF Peer Connect - Examine the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Community and Support Connection offerings to find new ways to partner with and support the cystic fibrosis community. These programs include CF Peer Connect, Peer Mentoring, Community Voice, and CF Circles.
  • CFF Education Committee - Review the currently trending topics from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Education Committee.
    Discuss the available materials and resources to help empower both cystic fibrosis caregivers and people living with cystic fibrosis.
