Teresa is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Instructor of Pediatrics at Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University for 29 years. She received her bachelor’s degree in Science at D’Youville University and Master’s degree in Nursing from Stony Brook University.
She currently serves as the Pediatric and Adult Cystic Fibrosis Center Program Coordinator and Q.I. Lead at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital.
Ms. Stables-Carney’s research and quality improvement interests include cystic fibrosis and asthma. She works closely with her CF team, PFAB, the CFF and CFLN creating a culture and pathway to improvement and is most proud of her work dedicated to Co-Production.
She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, the New York State Coalition of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau: International Honor Society of Nursing, American Reflexology Certification Board and the American Lung Association: Asthma Coalition.
