Samal Munidasa

Cincinnati Childrens Hospital

My name is Dr. Samal Munidasa and I am a Research Fellow at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. My research focuses on evaluating cardio-pulmonary function in pediatric CF lung disease using as hyperpolarized 129-Xenon MRI and free-breathing, functional 1-H MRI. These advanced MRI techniques will serve as a more sensitive tool for monitoring CF than traditional pulmonary function tests (e.g. spirometry) in the new era of highly-effective CFTR modulators.
