Alexis Yetwin, PhD, is a pediatric psychologist at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), embedded within the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and Pain Medicine clinics. Dr. Yetwin has almost two decades of experience in clinical practice and research in pediatric chronic pain and almost a decade of experience working with youth and young adults with CF. She utilizes a variety of evidence-based treatments with her patients (DBT, ACT) and her current CF research and program development interests involve mitigating procedural anxiety and increasing social and psychological support in youth with CF. She has a special interest in mind-body medicine and has conducted biofeedback therapy in the pain clinic for 14 years. Dr. Yetwin is also a clinical supervisor in CHLA’s APA-accredited predoctoral psychology internship and postdoctoral fellowship programs.
