Christine Hachem, MD, FACG is a professor of Medicine in the division of gastroenterology at Saint Louis University. As a faculty member, she has taken a strong interest in the clinical care of individuals with Cystic Fibrosis and education of colleagues and the community in regards to the topics of chronic gastrointestinal issues such as dysmotility, acid reflux, colon cancer screening in Cystic Fibrosis. She has engaged in both public, patient/family, and resident/student education on the importance of gastroenterology topics for the CF community with a focus on colon cancer screening in individuals with CF. She has served on numerous local, regional and national committees committed to the education and quality of care for patients. She is the governor of the American College of Gastroenterology society in Missouri. She is also currently the principal investigator of a multicentered study (NICE-CF), in conjunction with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, looking at stool based colorectal cancer screening options in individuals with CF.
