Caroline Chaloner, PT, DPT, PCS, is a Lead Physical Therapist at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME. She is one of two primary PTs in the Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Clinic at Maine Medical Partners. Caroline received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Duke University in 2014 and has been working with pediatric and adult patients with CF in the acute care setting since that time. She has been seeing patients in the pediatric CF clinic at MaineHealth since 2016. Caroline and her colleague Jessica Takatsuki-Jordan were selected for the CFF Award for a Physical Therapist in 2019. Their focus was on QI work addressing patient/family satisfaction with PT services in CF clinic and management of urinary incontinence in the pediatric CF population. Caroline serves as a mentor for the CFF PT mentoring program. She is also the current PT representative on the CFF Guidelines Steering Committee. In her clinical role at the hospital, she currently practices predominantly in the NICU setting. In addition, Caroline is the primary MT in the MaineHealth MDA clinic and specializes in evaluation and management of patients with spinal muscular atrophy.
