Sharon McNamara, MN, Research Nurse Manager, Seattle Children's Hospital, has extensive experience in the development, coordination, and implementation of clinical trials in CF and other pulmonary indications. For the past 30 years, she has been involved in therapeutic trials, both investigator and industry initiated, and multicenter epidemiologic and observational studies. As a lead research coordinator, she has developed templates and tools for use by study teams, has been involved in research coordinater and investigator training programs through the CF TDN and CFF, and has collaborated with junior investigators in research activities to promote undertanding and compliance with regulatory requirements and good clinical practice. Recently, she has been particpated in the CF Learning Network as a member of the CF Clinic QI team. She was involved in the CFF Genetic Therapies Working Group, focusing on research team education related to genetic therapies, and is a CFF LOFT mentor.
