CF Foundation
Kim Reno is a Senior Manager, within the policy and advocacy department at the CF Foundation. She oversees:
• Program assessment, implementation and evaluation
• Multidisciplinary committees related to food insecurity, social determinants of health, and other priority areas
• Collaboration with internal and external individuals/departments/organizations
Kim’s team helps CF Care Centers address social, economic, and access barriers by creating educational content and raising awareness of the concerns people with CF and their families have related to access and thriving with CF.
Kim joined the CF Foundation, in November 2017 after working as the social worker and mental health coordinator at the CF Care Center in Toledo, Ohio. Kim has been an active participant within the North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC) as an invited speaker and co-moderator for numerous sessions. She was the Chair of the Psychosocial “track” of the NACFC from 2009 to 2015 and Co-Chair of NACFC in 2012. She is involved with the Social Work Advisory Board at Bowling Green State University; is an appointed member of the CF Task Force for the State of Ohio and is a previous Board Member and planner for the Cystic Fibrosis Nutrition and Social Work Consortium. Kim was a member of the international committee which developed and published anxiety and depression guidelines in Cystic Fibrosis, and is a current member of the CF Foundation Mental Health Advisory Committee. She received the Social Worker of the Year Award by Region I of the Ohio Chapter of National Association of Social Workers and is the proud recipient of the Mary M. Kontos Care Champion Award and CF Social Work Achievement Award.
