Raksha Jain, MD, MSc; Professor of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine; University of Texas Southwestern
Dr. Jain received her M.D. from the University of Texas Houston Health Science Center, completed residency at the University of Texas Southwestern and Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship as well as a Masters of Science in Clinical Investigation at Washington University in St. Louis. She joined the faculty at UT Southwestern Medical Center in 2010 and is the Medical Director of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis and Bronchiectasis program. She participates in and leads several multi-center clinical trials related to therapeutics for CF and non-CF bronchiectasis and runs her own research program focused on understanding sex and gender disparities in CF and other airway diseases. In particular, she is interested in the role of estrogen on neutrophilic inflammation. She is also Chair of the SHARING (Sexual health, reproduction and gender research) working group and has a long-standing interest in pregnancy and reproductive health in CF. She also serves on the CFF Clinical Research Awards committee, the CER registry committee, CREC and the NACFC clinical program planning committee.
