Putting on Trust Glasses: Trustifying your written communications and Trying out Partnership Trust- Building Tools
People with cystic fibrosis (PwCF), and their family members (CFFM) have identified trust as essential for partnering well with their care teams. Trust is not passive. Rather, trust is seen, assessed, and felt in the moments that make up our experiences in the healthcare system. Oral and written means of communication are opportunities in which to build and reinforce trust. Join this lunch and learn for a hands-on experience learning how to trustify your written communications and test out a bunch of partnership tools you can take home for use in your CF program to build and support powerful moments of trust with PwCF and families.
Learning Objectives:
Identify the six variables that propel bi-directional trust between provider and PwCF/families
Apply trust variables to a scenario: welcoming a new patient to clinic, including customization of a welcome message and clinic guide.
Employ three trust building tools that are readily taken back to CF care centers for implementation.
