Lara Marsh is a person who lives her best life everyday as a CF’er, post-transplant. Having been diagnosed at the age of four, and a sister, Amy, simultaneously diagnosed, Lara seemed to grasp the situation not long after that. Always faithful to CF regimens, and running long distance track in high school, Lara found herself pushing “to be the longest living CF’er in the world”! Lara knew at a solid eight years of age, that when the time was right, she would get the transplant. Now, over forty-plus years later, and counting, Lara continues to live life on her own terms.
What started out as “high goals for a CF’er”, Lara is married with an energetic, fulfilling life; house, pets, and a steady, Midwest life. She has a Master’s Degree in Directing for Live Theatre, and directs productions in many of the area theatres. She has been out on tour, and also puts in her time in the grueling work of backstage load ins and outs of shows/concerts, simply for fun and exercise. Lara also loves to travel, and had the opportunity to go to London and Scotland during grad school (traveling abroad had always seemed unreachable!). She also loves to study Tudor England, devotes a high heart rate rooting for the Green Bay Packers, enjoys nature and supporting animals, and of course, a lifetime with her husband, Craig.
