Dr. Stanford Chun, MD is a third-year pediatric pulmonology fellow at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). He completed medical school at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine, and pediatric residency at the University of California Irvine/Children’s Hospital Orange County. His research interests include investigating the use of novel imaging such as low-field MRI to detect and monitor early lung disease in patients with cystic fibrosis and other pulmonary diseases who are unable to perform pulmonary function tests. He is also currently working on a clinical research study evaluating the relationship between sleep and pulmonary exacerbation in the inpatient settings with Dr. Iris Perez and Dr. Thomas Keens. He also has developed a great passion for quality improvement after taking the Virtual Improvement Program Fundamentals course with the CHLA CF team and continues to be an active member of the CF Center’s QI team.
