Dr. Leah Ratner, MD, MS, DTM&H is a Med-Peds physician and health equity researcher at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School. She completed her residency at Georgetown University Hospital and a global health fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital. During her global health fellowship, she served as an attending physician with the BRIDGES Young Adult Program, where she serendipitously was exposed to CF and subsequently fell in love. She began collaborating with the Brigham and Women’s and Boston Children’s Adult Cystic Fibrosis team and was awarded a PACE grant from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to advance her expertise in adult CF care. Recently, she relocated to Washington, DC, to support adult CF care at Washington Hospital Center in a continuation of her award. Additionally, she was recently awarded an NIH funded T32 to focus on CF care equity in sub-Saharan Africa. She also continues to lead a portfolio of work in Ghana, where she has been working since 2007, which is dedicated to rights-based pediatric-to-adult transitions for adolescents living with chronic disease.
