University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital
Joel Mintz, MD, MS is a third-year resident at the University of Miami/Jackson Memoria Hospital, Born and raised in Phoenix Arizona. He received his BS in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Arizona and later received a Masters in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University. Despite his extensive engineering background, he found love for patient care and decided to make a career shift into medicine, where he attending Nova Southeastern University College of Allopathic Medicine as a member of their inaugural graduating class. In residency Joel has found a passion for using big data to identify emerging areas of need within the field of pulmonary and critical care medicine and looks forward to continue his training as a future PCCM fellow.
