Isabella Ferranti is a PhD Candidate at Carnegie Mellon University. Her research interests include using DNA as an engineering material for the construction of nanoscale biosensors and novel nanocarriers. Her current work focuses on applying DNA origami self-assembly techniques to the folding of large gene cargos into compact, cell-targeted nanoparticles.
