Julianna Donohoe, BS is a third year PhD candidate in the Bomberger lab in the department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College. Julianna graduated from Oregon State University with a BS in microbiology and a minor in chemistry. In the Bomberger lab she focuses on how immune-metabolic changes during viral-bacterial coinfections in the respiratory tract influence chronic infections in people with Cystic Fibrosis (pwCF). Through her thesis work, Julianna aims to determine how the nutritional environment within the airways promotes P. aeruginosa biofilms in the hopes of developing new therapeutic targets to eradicate chronic infections in pwCF.
