Ameer Dharamshi is a third-year PhD Student in the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Washington. His research is focused on developing statistical tools for small sample and correlated data problems with applications in demography and global health, and the analysis of microbiome data. In the latter, he is working towards a deconvolution method that will allow cystic fibrosis researchers and clinicians better understand the pulmonary microbiome of patients using paired sputum and saliva samples.
