Elena Bochicchio, PT, DPT, MBA is currently an Inpatient Physical Therapist at Yale New Haven Hospital serving as the department’s clinical educator and quality leader, and soon to be program director of a developing acute care physical therapy residency program. She graduated from Quinnipiac University with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training and sport medicine before going on to receive her doctorate in physical therapy from the same institution. Most recently, Elena received her MBA in healthcare management from Quinnipiac University, supporting her leadership and administrative positions at Yale New Haven Hospital. In support of life-long learning, Elena recently became a part-time faculty member at Quinnipiac University, teaching in the department of physical therapy. Elena has been employed at Yale New Haven Hospital for almost 10 years and has been a member of the treatment team in the outpatient adult cystic fibrosis program for the last four. Elena’s immersion in the quality improvement and quality assurance healthcare arena has allowed her to support the enhanced-care quality initiatives stemming from the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program at Yale New Haven Hospital. In her spare time Elena likes to spend time with her three children and two pups, cook, and play tennis with her husband.
