Sohail Khoshnevis, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the department of Biochemistry, Emory University School of Medicine. He received his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from University of Goettingen, Germany in 2010, and followed this by a postdoctoral fellowship in Physical Biochemistry at MPI-BPC. He was a Research Associate at Scripps Research Institute, before joining Emory as a scientist in 2018. The Khoshnevis Lab utilizes RNA/protein biochemistry, yeast genetics, structural biology and cell-based assays to understand post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression in human fungal pathogens and applies this knowledge to identify novel targets for therapeutic development.
