Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
I am a Scientist at the CFFT Lab, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Lexington, MA, USA.
I earned my Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Yonsei University College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea, in 2009, under the guidance of Dr. Min Goo Lee. My doctoral research explored the regulation of pancreatic epithelial anion transporters, including SLC26, TMEM16, and CFTR. From 2010 to 2012, I served as an Assistant Professor at the Catholic Kwandong University College of Medicine. In 2012, I joined Dr. Bill Skach’s lab at Oregon Health & Science University as a postdoctoral fellow, where I researched the cotranslational folding of the CFTR protein. Since 2016, I have been working as a scientist at the CFFT lab in Lexington, MA. My current research is centered on understanding the molecular mechanisms of premature termination codon (PTC) readthrough modulators using ribosome profiling and developing new therapeutic strategies with enhanced selectivity for CFTR.
W31.2- CFTR PTC readthrough can be enhanced by a transcript-specific ASO approach
