Dr. Naim Maalouf is Professor of Internal Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Maalouf received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon, then completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University, and a fellowship in Endocrinology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He remained on Faculty at UT Southwestern and is currently Professor of Internal Medicine. Dr. Maalouf serves as Associate Director of the Charles and Jane Pak Center for Mineral Metabolism and Clinical Research.
Dr. Maalouf’s research and clinical interests include understanding the causes and treatment of osteoporosis and kidney stone disease. His research is funded by the National Institutes of Health, and he has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on various topics related to disorders of bone and mineral metabolism.
