Cynthia Brady, DNP, RN, CPNP, AC, PC is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from St. Paul/Minneapolis, Minnesota. She holds dual certification in pediatric primary and acute care. She practiced in many areas of pediatrics including critical and emergency care before specializing in pediatric pulmonary care at Children’s Respiratory and Critical Care Specialists (CRCCS) in Minneapolis Minnesota for more than 25 years. During her career at CRCCS, she provided expert care for children with special health needs including Chronic Lung Disease of Prematurity, Chronic Respiratory Failure, difficult to manage Asthma, Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and Sickle Cell Disease. She has been active in research, quality, and numerous professional committees.
Dr. Brady is co-chair of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Evidence Based Guidelines Committee. Currently, Dr. Brady co-directs the CFF sponsored LEAPP (Leadership and Education for Advanced Practice Providers) program, a post graduate training program for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in CF. She has co-authored various papers including the CF guidelines on Chronic Therapies, Pseudomonas Eradication, Preschool Care, and CFTR Modulators. Dr. Brady is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota’s Graduate School of Nursing where she served as clinical preceptor.
Dr. Brady holds a BSN from Loyola University of Chicago. She earned a Master of Science and Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Minnesota. She also received a certificate in Leadership in Health Information Technology through the University of Minnesota’s Academic Health Center.
Dr. Brady lives in St. Paul, Minnesota, with her husband Bernard, a college professor. They have 4 adult children and 5 grandchildren. In her leisure, she enjoys tennis and the outdoors, especially the north shore of Lake Superior.
