Adult CF Center of Central Texas
Kathy Villagomez, RRT, RCP is the Program Coordinator and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for the Adult Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Center of Central Texas. She has been practicing respiratory care since 2007. Kathy started with Ascension Seton/Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas CF Center from 2016 to 2018 as a pulmonary function test therapist. She joined the Adult CF team of Central Texas in 2018 not only to perform pulmonary function tests, but also to help educate and support patients with their respiratory care needs. She participated in the CF Foundation Mentoring Programs in 2019 as a respiratory therapist apprentice and in 2022 as the program coordinator apprentice. In 2020, Kathy became the Adult Center’s Program Coordinator. She participated with her team in Quality Improvement initiatives, such as the VIP-F8. She also served as a speaker and moderating chair for NACFC in 2022 and 2023. Kathy continues to attend various local CF Foundation chapter events and is an active member in the central Texas CF community along with the center’s PFAB. She continues to find ways to improve and grow with her center and team.
