Dr. Jay Freeman, MD, MSc is a Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University where he serves as the Director of Pancreatic Care for the Nationwide Children’s Pancreas and Liver Care Center as well as the Medical Director for the TPIAT program at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Dr. Freeman is a leader in establishing standardized care for the management of pediatric pancreatic conditions. He has co-authored NASPGHAN and CFF endorsed manuscripts related to the management of acute pancreatitis, chronic pancreatitis, nutrition in pancreatitis, imaging in pediatric pancreatic conditions as well as pancreatic disorders in cystic fibrosis. In addition to his work in pediatric pancreatitis, Dr. Freeman has been an active participant in studying the impact of GI and liver involvement in CF. Dr. Freeman was a member of the initial DIGEST awardee class and has participated in several clinical trials evaluating GI and Liver involvement in CF, including as the Co-PI on the GALAXY study.
