Christopher M. Oermann, MD

Children's Mercy Kansas City

Christopher M Oermann, MD is the Division Director for the Division of Allergy, Immunology, Pulmonary, and Sleep Medicine at Children’s Mercy Kansas City. He is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine and a Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Oermann completed medical school and residency in pediatrics at the University of Missouri – Columbia before completing fellowship training in pediatric pulmonology at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. Dr. Oermann left Baylor as an Associate Professor of Pediatrics after 16 years on the faculty. He joined Children’s Mercy, the University of Missouri – Kansas City, and the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2013. Dr. Oermann has been active in clinical care, scholarship, and administrative service with the cystic fibrosis community his entire career. He is also active with national professional organizations and holds leadership positions with the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Thoracic Society, and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Dr. Oermann, maintains a busy clinical service, engages in scholarship, and devotes time to medical education.
