Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago
Angelique Mercier, MS, CGC, is a board certified and licensed pediatric genetic counselor at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. She has an interest and focus on cystic fibrosis newborn screening, carrier screening, pediatric oncology, connective tissue disorders, and general genetics. She received an MS in Genetic Counseling from Northwestern University in 2014 and a BS in Biology and Psychology with minors in Chemistry and Social Work from Valparaiso University in 2012. Prior to working as a pediatric genetic counselor, her previous clinical experience included adult oncology, carrier screening program coordination, and educational outreach. She enjoys volunteering to help coordinate and facilitate patient and family-centered conferences and events, both on a local and national level, most recently working with The Marfan Foundation. Her current research interests include CFTR Related Metabolic Syndrome/CF Screen Positive, Inconclusive Diagnosis (CRMS/CFSPID).
