Abby completed a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education in 2007, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2013 at University of Vermont. Abby has been a pediatric physical therapist for 10 years. She's worked in a number for settings to give her a good perspective on child development and different models of care. Abby joined the cystic fibrosis team in 2017 and has developed the program at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Abby is involved in numerous quality improvement initiatives to improve the care of patients with CF as it relates to gross motor development, GI management, and group therapy. Abby participated as an instructor for Beam Youth teaching airway clearance, breathing and gross motor skills. Most recently, her work on gross motor screening using the BOT-2 was published in Pediatric Pulmonology. Abby has participated in the Partnership Enchancement Program (PEP) training with the CF Foundation, and acts as one of the PEP champions for her center. Abby has participated in the CFF Mentorship program as an apprentice, and now a mentor. Abby provides holistic care to her patients by using her skills as a yoga instructor, infant massage training, myofascial decompression (cupping) training, Mary Massery coursework, and experience as a coach, camp counselor, teacher and collegiate athlete to provide comprehensive care to her patients and their families. When Abby isn't working, she loves spending time with her family in the beautiful mountains of Colorado.
