Dr. Kimberly A McBennett, MD, PhD, FACP, Senior Staff Physician, Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, is a physician scientist with 19 years of experience exploring innovative models for delivering effective care for adults with cystic fibrosis and conducting clinical trials of novel therapeutic interventions. In her current role, she personally cares for the majority of the adults with cystic fibrosis at the LeRoy W. Matthews Cystic Fibrosis Center at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center where she formerly served as Center Director and Adult Program Direcotor. She also served as the director of the CF Therapeutics Development Center at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Medicine. In these roles, she forged relationships with multiple basic science and clinical research faculty by sharing her observations and building upon the stellar clinical and translational CF research program in Cleveland. She currently serves as a clinician, researcher, and principal investigator for multiple cystic fibrosis clinical trials.
