Leah Reznikov is an Associate Professor of Physiological Sciences and expert in neurosciences and airway biology. She has published 61 peer-reviewed manuscripts and 3 book chapters. The major research focus of the Reznikov lab is centered on the molecular and cellular interactions of the peripheral and central nervous systems with the airway. Key areas the Reznikov lab investigates, include mechanisms of abnormal mucus in cystic fibrosis and asthma. Dr. Reznikov has been continuously NIH-supported since 2014 and is proud of receiving 2019 Teacher of the Year Award (Class of 2021), the University of Florida Excellence Award for Assistance Professors (2020), the University of Florida McKnight Brain Institute Career Accelerator Award (2020), the Zoetis Award for Excellence in Research (2021), the American Physiological Society Giles F. Filey Memorial Award (2022), 2022 Teacher of the Year Award (Class of 2024).
