Sabina Sabharwal, MD MPH is assistant professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and has been director of the gastroenterology program at the Boston Children's Hospital CF Center for over 10 years. Her areas of interest are understanding GI manifestations of CF particularly in the time of highly effective modulator therapy and also to better understand nutritional needs of the CF population, including disordered eating. She was a member of the first DIGEST (Developing Innovative Gastroenterology Specialty Training) Program class. She is the site PI for the BEGIN study at Boston Children's Hospital, a multicenter study to evaluated to effects of CFTR modulators in infants and young children. She is also a member of the Boston Children's Hospital Pediatric Pancreatic Disorders Program, with a particular interest in pancreatitis in patients with CF, as well as exocrine pancreatic insufficiency.
