Dr. Golnar Raissi is a member of the Columbia University Cystic Fibrosis (CF) center at Stamford, Connecticut and a licensed naturopathic physician who specializes in integrative medicine.
Dr. Raissi has been trained in medical nutrition at Columbia University and clinical mental health. She has experience working on a spectrum of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, and self-esteem issues. Her work extends to children, adolescence, adults, and geriatric populations using different modalities to satisfy each patients’ unique needs. She focuses on prevention, education, and self-care.
Dr. Raissi has been fortunate enough to work with underserved populations within this country and abroad, incorporating multicultural concepts into each case. Cultural awareness is an integral part of care, as it influences relationships and interactions.
She is the co-founder of the CF Bridge of Hope, a not-for-profit entity, that was established in 2012 to assist individuals with CF in resource-limited areas of the world.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Raissi organized weekly virtual meeting for families with CF and elderly patients with anxiety and depression focusing on self-care techniques that balances physiology and psychology as an antidote to the stress responses, enhances immunity and lightens the emotional load that everyone carries.
