Malinda Wu, MD, MSCR, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, MD. She completed her clinical training in pediatric endocrinology and her Master of Science in Clinical Research at Emory University. Dr. Wu’s clinical and research expertise are in pediatric osteoporosis and endocrine complications of cystic fibrosis (CF). She seeks to understand why young adults with CF are at greater risk for low-trauma fractures than people without CF, and how to best prevent these fractures. She is currently funded by the CF Foundation’s Harry Shwachman Clinical Investigator and EnVISION awards to study the role of estrogen supplementation in bone accrual and quality of life for girls and women with CF.
