Billie Simonson is the Enhanced Access and Care Technician at the University of North Carolina Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC, primarily caring for pediatric CF and pulmonary patients. She began her career in Mooresville NC at a retail pharmacy in 2007 and continued growing her skillsset and knowledge at various retail locations before accepting a position at a all service pharmacy that included inpatient and specialty medications. Billie's experiences allowed her to obtain exceptional knowledge and expertise in pharmacy and has allowed her to efficiently navigate medication management and insurance processes, ensuring medical professionals receive necessary support and patients receive the best care which lead her to a postition with UNC on the medication access team. Over that time she gained experience in several areas further improving her expertise until finally accepting a direct postion with the Pediatric Pulmonary Team. In her spare time, Billie is a mom of two and a wife, loves to explore other cuisines with family and friends, and go kayaking.
