I have been at Children’s Hospital of Alabama for 17 years, four of those in my current role. In 2018, myself and collegues subimitted a poster as part of a QI project titled “Increasing Documentaion of Reliable PFTs. “ I led a Roundtable Discussion in 2021 titled “Encouraging Patients to do Airway Clearance in the time of HEMT” and another Roundtable in 2022 “Every Breath You Take:Treating Asthma in PwCF.” In 2023, I was a moderator for the PT/RT group “Seeing More than CF:Care Team and Caregiver Perspectives on Dealing with CF Coupled with Another Complex Disease.” In 2023, I participated in the RT Mentor/Apprentice at Riley's Children's Hospital in Indianapolis.
I have a passion for making chest physiotherapy accessible to patients of all health and ability levels. I love to teach and encourage patients to take an active role in their healthcare.
In 2021, I received the Kyle Mabrey Compassionate Care Award and in 2022 I was the first respiratory therapist recipient to the Distinguised Allied Health Award.
