Anna Faino, MS, is a manager of biostatistics within the Core for Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Analytics in Research at Seattle Children's Research Institute, and has over 10 years of experience working in academic research. She has assisted researchers in study design, data collection and management, grant writing, data analysis and interpretation, statistical report generation, and manuscript writing. She has experience in biomarker and other risk factor analyses, prediction modeling, time to event analyses including extended and Propensity Scores (PS) matched Cox Models, analyses of longitudinal observational studies (LMM, GEE, GLMM), gene expression and methylation studies, case versus control studies, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, and multidimensional scaling. Additionally, she has experience in designing and analyzing large administrative- and registry-based longitudinal studies using Inverse probability of Treatment Weighting (IPTW) of Marginal Structural Models (MSM) to deal with treatment indication bias. She enjoys collaborating with other researchers and has worked on many multi-site studies where communication is key. She provides statistical consulting and support for researcher development programs at Seattle Children’s, and enjoys working with researchers that have varying levels of statistical expertise.
