Prigi Varghese received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2004 and her Master of Science in Nursing in 2010 from Texas Woman’s University in Dallas, Texas. She worked as a nurse at Children’s Health until 2010. She has been a Nurse Practitioner with the Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis center at Children’s Health since 2014. Prigi assumed the role of CF program coordinator in 2015. This role involves not only the coordination of care for 270 pediatric patients with CF, but also the coordination of abnormal newborn screens, monthly sweat tests and making sure all aspects of the center flow well. Prigi is also the QI coordinator for the CF team and is involved in various QI initiatives through the CF Foundation and the CF learning Network. She has had multiple opportunities to participate in both oral and poster presentations on a local and national level through the CF Foundation and CF Learning Network. She has received the Excellence and Accountability Cornerstone award for all advanced practitioners at Children’s Health in 2016, nominated in 2017 for the Quality Care Cornerstone Award and won Quality Care Cornerstone Award in 2018. She was the recipient of the Dallas’ Finest Award through the North Texas CF Foundation in 2019. As of 2022, she has also been a board member for the North Texas CF Foundation.
