Jennifer Guimbellot, M.D., Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Section Chief of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at the Arkansas Children's Hospital, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Guimbellot's research is focused on developing personalized strategies to optimize drug therapy for patients with cystic fibrosis and related diseases. This program incorporates pharmacometrics and pharmacogenomics into optimizing the use of CFTR modulators to optimize personalized efficacy, including assessment of modulators in understudied populations as well as evaluation of the mechanism of side effects. Her work is funded by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the National Institutes of health. We also conduct clinical research regarding the use of modulators and other medications in children and adults, focusing on clinical outcomes, drug-drug interactions, and optimization of care.
