Dr. Scott Sagel is a Professor of Pediatrics with particular interest in children with genetic disorders of impaired mucus clearance including cystic fibrosis (CF) and primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD). He serves as the CF Center Director at Children's Hospital Colorado, as well as the lead site investigator for the National Institute of Health (NIH)-funded Genetic Disorders of Mucociliary Clearance Consortium. Dr. Sagel is Medical Director of the Pediatric Clinical Translational Research Center Core Laboratory at Children’s Hospital Colorado which serves as the Center for Biochemical Markers, a CF Foundation supported national resource center. Dr. Sagel’s research interests include airway inflammation and infection and biomarkers of lung disease in children with CF and PCD and his research is supported by the CF Foundation and NIH.
