Silvia Caceres has been a vital member of the Adult CF team at National Jewish Health since 2010. Originally from Colombia, she earned her Masters in Biology from la Universidad de los Andes and contributed to the development of TB vaccine candidates at the Colombian Institute of Immunology.
In 2009, Silvia relocated to Denver, where her focus shifted to NTM and microbiology in CF patients. Starting as a Lab Researcher, she seamlessly transitioned to a hybrid role as Research Coordinator in 2017. Silvia has actively participated in numerous research studies and collaborated with investigators worldwide, coordinated multi center studies.
Beyond her professional achievements, Silvia is an enthusiast of outdoor activities. She enjoys running, skiing, and gardening, and during winter, she leads a women’s skiing club. Additionally, Silvia volunteers as a Girls on the Run coach, reflecting her commitment to community and mentorship.
