University of Saskatchewan
I started my academic life in Argentina, where I graduated with a degree in biology at the University of Buenos Aires. I pursed graduate studies at McMaster University (Ontario, Canada) and graduated with a PhD in physiology under the supervision of Dr. Mike O’Donnell. After training on cystic fibrosis lung disease pathobiology as a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. John Hanrahan’s laboratory at McGill University, I was hired at the University of Saskatchewan (Saskatchewan, Canada). I am professor in the Department of Anatomy Physiology and Pharmacology at the College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. Our research program focusses on the mechanisms of epithelial solute transport, its regulation by extracellular and the intracellular signals, and the pathological consequences of epithelial ion transport failure in cystic fibrosis.
