Kimberly Altman is a Senior Nutritionist at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, in New York, New York, where she is responsible for the inpatient and outpatient care of adults with cystic fibrosis. At her center, she works on nutrition focused Quality Improvement and helps provide nutritionally relevant medication recommendations. Kim has been at her current CF center for 13 years, but has provided care to adults and children with CF for 23 years. She previously served as a Clinical Nutritionist for both adults and children with CF at the same institution, as well as the CF Center at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA, and the affiliate CF center at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, NJ.
Kim has moderated and spoken at educational sessions and has presented several cases at the North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC). She is a facilitator with the CFF nutrition mentoring program, on the NACFC program planning committee, and has been a dietitian mentor for many years. She on the board of the CFF’s Greater New York chapter, the chair of the CF sub unit of the MNT DPG of AND, as well the board of the Cystic Fibrosis RD and SW Consortium.
