Dr. Solomon completed medical school at University of Alabama School of Medicine. HE then completed internal medicine residency at UAB Hospital and fellowship at the University of Colorado/National Jewish Health. Dr. Solomon returned to UAB as a faculty in 2014 to the division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care medicine. HE established the Non-CF bronchiectasis and PCD program and became the director of the UAB Adult CF center in 2017. HE is an active clinical and translational researcher studying the mucociliary and electrophysiological underpinnings of CF and Bronchiectasis. His work has led to the develop new treatments via therapeutic monitoring and understanding of disease pathogenesis. Dr. Solomon is a fellow of the American Thoracic Society and the Souther Society of Clinical Investigation.
