Ginger McPhail has been a Registered Respiratory Therapist for 26 years. Ginger graduated from Kettering College of Medical Arts with an Associate Degree of Science in Respiratory Care in 1998. She then obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Service Administration in 2007. She earned her Master’s degree in Psychology in 2014. Ginger has worked with children and young adults with CF and rare lung disease at Cincinnari Children's Hospital for the past 24 years. Ginger is the Airway Clearance Specialist, she meets with patients and families in the inpatient and outpatient areas to discuss their respiratory and airway clearance needs. She developed the Inpatient Self-Management of Airway Clearance program on the inpatient unit. This program has given children with CF the skills to do independently do airway clearance and to understand the reasons for all of their respiratory treatments/medications.
